Ukrainian company Frontline, in partnership with Estonian Milrem Robotics, has successfully integrated the Buria grenade launcher turret onto the tracked ground drone THeMIS.

Equipped with an automatic 40mm Mk 19 grenade launcher, the platform demonstrated accuracy and stability in tests conducted in Ukraine, hitting targets over 1.1 km away.

The Buria system, already in serial production since January 2025, has been incorporated into combat support units through a specialized training program. The expectation is to expand its application in active missions, adapting it for various battlefield tasks, with further tests planned to assess its performance in different scenarios.

According to Frontline, the integration represents not only a technical advancement but also a successful example of cooperation between Ukrainian and European military technology manufacturers. The turret allows more efficient aiming adjustments than a traditional tripod, engages multiple targets within seconds, and is remotely operated, requiring only a point on the map or coordinates to execute fire.
